He is survived by: his wife Arenthina Bivens Johnson of Fruitland, MD; his children, Joe Cecil of Salem, NJ, Edna Parson (Nate) of Baltimore, MD, Joanne Johnson of Eden, MD, Moses Johnson (Ashley) of Salisbury, MD, Virginia Parker (Thomas) of Salisbury, MD, Joseph Johnson Jr. of Salisbury, MD and Priscilla Holbrook (James) of Salisbury, MD; his stepdaughters, Faye Bartley (Henry) of Salisbury, MD, Carla Bivens of Salisbury, MD and Tracey Powell of Salisbury, MD; his siblings, Buster Walker (Evelina) of Charleston, SC, Marion Cromwell (Hilda) of Charleston, SC, Ceaser Jenkins (Inez) of Charleston, SC, John Jenkins (Mattie) of Charleston, SC, Josephine Banks (John) of Charleston, SC, Mariah Frazier (Herbert) of Charleston, SC, Rosabelle Wring of Charleston, SC and Ruth Ann Carr of Charleston, SC; and his niece Val Bradley (Barry) of Salisbury, MD. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren; ten step grandchildren.
