He was predeceased by: his parents, William W. Bishop and Evelyn L. Bishop; his brothers, Reuben, Vernon and William Bishop; his former wife Wanda Petrovich; his wife Anna; his grandson Jason Bishop; and his great grandchild Nevaeh Bishop.
He is survived by: his children, Ronald Bishop, Sharon Bloxom, Joseph Bishop, Jr. (Lisa), Roie Cordrey, William Bishop, Rebecca Johnson, Mary Lawson (Ray), John Bishop and Wanda Parsons. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, and 2 nephews.
