He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Layfield and Anna Mac Cord Layfield; his grandchildren, Casey Truitt of Parsonsburg, April Burchette of Salisbury, Heather Truitt of Princess Anne, Allen Truitt of Parsonsburg, Hilary Galon of Salisbury and Amber Sales of Salisbury; his wife Jane Charlotte Layfield; his daughters, Caroline Mae Ruark and Pamela Ann Truitt; and his siblings, Ruth Marie Layfield Adams and Bernard Wesley Layfield. He was also cherished by several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
