She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Smith and Pansy Smith; and her sister Malvina Smith. She is survived by: her brother Jerry Smith (Beverly); her nephew Matt Smith (Nikki); and her greatest loves Matt.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Joann to the Choirs at St. John's UM Church or Asbury UM Church.
