She was predeceased by: her father Leroy McFadden; her husband John Elzey; and her brother Leroy McFadden. She is survived by: her mother Thelma Tanner-Greene; her children, Rachel Z. Clark (Derrick), John M. Birckhead III (Mareesa) and Jonathan Birckhead (Anne); and her sisters, Lavern Jarman (Theodore), Dorothy Wallace and Edith McFadden. She is also survived by four grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
