He is survived by: his siblings, Herbert Lane Sr. (Johnella) and Sally Rogers (John); his aunt Carol Johnson; his uncle Preston Johnson; his brother-in-law William Gordy (Ruth); his nieces and nephews, Shinelle Lane, Deon Rogers, Herbert Lane, Jr. (Nasir Lane), Quasheta Gordy and Deshonna Rogers; his goddaughter Tika Clark; and his close friends, Elsie Ferguson, Buster Brown and Clarence "Hollywood" Giddens. He is also survived by other friends and relatives.
