He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Gray and Sylvester White, Sr.; his siblings, William, Joseph, Steven White, Consquella Hollis, Gladys Hayward and Viola Hayward; and his brother-in-law Oscar Jones, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Frances; his son Jonathan; his daughter-in-law Cicely; his brother Sylvester; his sister-in-law Jeanette; and his mother-in-law Lillian Jones. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers a donation in memory of Gus White may be made to the Morgan State University Foundation to benefit the School of Computer, Mathematical & Natural Sciences.
