He was predeceased by: his mother Doretha V. Beckett; and his sister Virginia Beckett. He is survived by: his wife Phyliss Beckett; his sons, Charles Russell Church, Walter Paul Maddox-Beckett and Freddie Allen Maddox-Beckett; his father Charles L. Beckett, Sr.; his uncle Thomas Neal (Doris); and his siblings, Charles Lee Beckett, Jr. and Bethania Gibbs. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.
