It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn June Tichenor (Salisbury, Maryland), born in Hallwood, Virginia, who passed away on June 15, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Louis DeNash Tichenor; her parents, Charles Smith Thorne and Evelyn Gladys Thorne; her brother-in-law John Shaheen; her daughter-in-law Brenda Bailey; and her grandson James D. Bailey Jr..
She is survived by: her sister Margaret "Ann" Thorne; her son James D. Bailey of Columbia, MD; her granddaughter Sara Carey (Paul) of Columbia, MD; her sister Margaret Ann Shaheen of Salisbury, MD; her great grandchildren, Victoria, Emma, Gabriella, Dominic and Tyler; her pet Heidi; and also, Samuel and Mamie Groton. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
