He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Groton and Estelle Groton; his wife Helen S. Groton; his fiancée Betty Taylor; his son-in-law Stephen Sides; and his siblings, Pauline Groton Parks Coyne, Mildred Groton Kelley, Louise Groton, Richard T. Groton, William R. Groton and Ernest Groton.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Groton of Milford, DE, Judy Skrip (Gary) of Salisbury and Joyce Sides of Salisbury; his grandson Dustin Cogswell (Max Wunderlich) of Portland, OR.; his sisters-in-law, Ann Groton of Salisbury and Doris Eanes of North East, MD; and his pet Kadi. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
