She was predeceased by: her son-in-law Stanley Abrams; her brother Howard Waldon Elliott; her great-niece Shelli; and her siblings-in-law, Robert and Betty Truitt.
She is survived by: her parents, Ethel Jane Whayland and Nevins Linwood Elliott; her spouse James Thomas Truitt II; her children, James Thomas Truitt, III (Tom) and Terese Lynn Truitt (Terry); her husband Erik Bjornstedt; her daughter Tonie Elizabeth Abrams; her nieces, Robin Hawkins and Karen Brookmire; her sister-in-law Jane Elliott; and her nieces, Janet Kessinger and Gail Elliott.
