It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elder Edward Bratten Sr. of Salisbury, Maryland, born in Girdletree, Maryland, who passed away on January 20, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurence Bratten and Pearline Finney Bratten; his siblings, Lawrence Jr., Paul, Charles, William, Jesse Bratten, Mary Finney, Beulah Bratten, Catherine Bishop and Mabel Johnson; his son-in-law Cleophous Powell; and his siblings-in-law, Lillie Ewell and Arthur Ewell.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Miracle Powell; his children, Lucinda Bratten, Carmella Powell and Edward Bratten Jr. (Felecia); his grandchildren, Juan Bratten (Ivanna), Gregory Bratten, Stanford Collins II, Kareem, Samuel, Nakia Powell, Ashley Snead, Tyshieka Warren (Jeffery), Makhai Bratten and Chaka Jarmon; his great grandchildren, Demarieon, Latrez, Arthur, Juan II, Nyla, Trevon Jr., A'brielle, Brielle and Imani; his sisters, Elsie Yasin and Grace Williams; his siblings-in-law, Betty Connor, Mary Ewell and Howard Ewell; his cousin Gertrude Shockley; and his nieces, Phyllis Ewell and Maime Saunders. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
