Edith Williams Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Williams (Salisbury, Maryland), born in Princess Anne, Maryland, who passed away on June 9, 2018, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Jessie W. Lane; her husband Henry Crawford Williams, Sr.; and her daughters, Marlene Cheryl Williams and Judith Darlene Pruitt. She is survived by: her parent Fanney Byram Lane; her sons, Henry Crawford Williams, Jr. and Sonny; her wife Linda of Shad Point; and also, Gary Lynn Williams of Salisbury and Bishop Jeffery Lee Williams (Shyrel) of Salisbury.

There are twelve grandchildren, Tina Quigley (Col. Jason Quigley), Henry "Hank Crawford Williams, III (Michelle), Rebecca Simms (Craig), Dawn Bishop (Chris), Kim Wright, Casey Cooper, Christopher Pruitt (Carrissa) Stephanie Pruitt, Justin Williams, (Kaitlyn), Rachael DaSantos, Kena Garner (Justin), Kara Williams, twenty four great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is a son-in-law Bishop Howard Pruitt of Millard NE, and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by a brother Robert Lane, and sisters Mildred Massey, Lona Littleton, Dorothy Littleton, Ruth Hales, and Mabel Jean Shupe. Mrs. Williams was a graduate of Buckingham High School. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She had worked for the Cove Restaurant and Eastern Shore Public Service Company. She was a lifelong member of the Church of God of Prophecy and church leader, known for her greeting card ministry. She loved reading, writing poetry, playing cards and board games. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 16th, at 11:00 AM at the Church of God of Prophecy, 208 Tilghman Rd, Salisbury. Bishop Jason Miltz will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Washington Methodist Cemetery, Shad Point, Salisbury. A donation in her memory may be made to: Church of God of Prophecy, Youth and Children's Dept., 208 Tilghman Rd., Salisbury, MD 21801. Letters of condolence may be sent via.
