He was predeceased by: his parents, William Russell Clayton and Lois Elizabeth Clayton (Tyler); his brother Timothy Tyler Clayton; his father-in-law Reginald Lee Morgan, Sr.; and his sister-in-law Regena Goldsborough.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Clayton (Morgan) of Salisbury; his sons, Jeremy Clayton and Don; his grandchildren, Ava and Isaac Clayton of Salisbury; his brother William "Bill" Clayton (Harlene) of Alexandria, VA; his siblings-in-law, Sarah Clayton of Crisfield, Charles Goldsborough, Reginald "Bud" Morgan (Lois), Rob Morgan (Linda), Joy Hawke (Gene), Pam Matthews (Robin) and Crystal Frey (Rudi); his mother-in-law Jeanette Morgan; his aunt Lou Anne Cannon (Tyler) of Valdosta, GA; his family, Tim and Sandra Shawyer; and also, Pam, Robin Matthews, William "Skip" Oakley, Ralph and Beth Osborne. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
