She is survived by: her grandchild Sugar; her husband Wilbert Cook, Jr. of Salisbury, Maryland; her children, Garry Howell (Barbara) of Salisbury, Maryland, Dr. Gaylena Bivens (Melvin) of Salisbury, Maryland and Candace Jenee Gray (Thomas) of Salisbury, Maryland; her grandchildren, Garry Howell, Jr. (Starr), Gaylena Howell, Keva Wright (Tremont), Melarie Bivens, Tomia Gray and Melvin Bivens, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Akeem, Ameer, Azion, Kori, Kreed and Kailey; her great great grandchild Karter; her siblings, Samuel Howell (Deborah) and Norma Jones; her siblings-in-law, Lula Garret, Marian Donaldson and Robert Sample (Towanda); her close friend Violet Williams (James); her goddaughters, Tikita Williams (Garba) and Kym Purnell (Andre); her cousin Lisa Howell Banks; and her caregiver Terri Maddox.
