It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Michael Dunkes of Salisbury, Maryland, born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on February 4, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Dunkes and Ellen V. Dunkes. He is survived by: his wife Joann Dunkes; his brother George T. "Tommy" Dunkes (Dawn) of Bel Air; his children, Kerin Magill (Del) of Ocean View and Tom Dunkes of Granville; and his grandchildren, Nathaniel Magill of Ocean View, Sophia Dunkes, Liam Dunkes and Emma Dunkes of Granville, Ohio. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations in Dunkes memory be made to the Fort Miles Historical Association, 15099 Cape Henlopen Drive, Lewes, DE 19958.
