He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Meilhammer and Iona Meilhammer; and his brothers, David and Michael Meilhammer. He is survived by: his siblings, Dorothy Toms and Donnie Meilhammer; his wife Sylvia Jean Meilhammer; and his sons, Bruce Meilhammer Jr., Chris Meilhammer and Doug Meilhammer. He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
