She was predeceased by: her parents, David Carl Craft and Hazel Craft of Virginia; her husband Robert Wayne Townsend; her son John David Neel; and her siblings, Mary, Robert, June and Donald.
She is survived by: her children, W. Stephen Neel (Nancy) of Sykesville, MD and Katrina Stephanos (Thomas); and her grandchildren, Melissa Mowell (Bryan), Jeremy Neel, Joshua Neel (Kait), Sarah Neel (Lee Anderson), John Stephanos (Kathleen), Rachael Warren (Brian) and Jessica Rittenhouse (Justin). She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
