He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Madeline Travers; his parents, Bertha Travers and Alexander Travers; his sister Maggie Timmons of Salisbury; his children, Alexander Travers of Salisbury, Steve Travers of Salisbury, Richard Travers (Karen) of Salisbury and Terri Collins of Salisbury; and his stepsons, Joel Mears and John Mears. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
