He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kemp (Jack) and Evelyn Baynard Kemp; his sister Jaqueline Kemp; and his son David Kemp Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Kemp; and his sons, Gregory Kemp (Morgan) and Michael Kemp Sr. (Tracy).

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Christ Episcopal Church - St. Michaels (301 South Main Street, Saint Michaels, MD 21663). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
