With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Raymond E. Sanders of Sabillasville, Maryland, who passed away on May 16, 2023 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Sanders and Ruth Sanders (Riley); his wife Betty Jane Sanders (Fox); his daughters, Rebecca A. Rathvon and Mary E. Dunlap; and his siblings, Viola Toms, Ann Sanders, Kathleen Linebaugh, Darlene Eyler, Paul Sanders, Harold Sanders and James Sanders.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah M. Sanders of Waynesboro, Rita M. Pickett of Chambersburg, PA, Larry J. Sanders (Vicki) of Cascade, MD, David R. Sanders (Deborah) of Waynesboro and James S. Sanders (Linda) of Emmitsburg, MD; his son-in-law Michael J. Rathvon of Cascade; his grandson Jeffrey Sanders (Christy) of Kearneysville, WV; and his caregiver Lula Turner. He is also survived by grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
