He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hynes and Elsie Hynes; and his siblings, John and Joyce. He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his child Courtney; his son-in-law Bryan; his grandsons, Patrick and Kevin; and his siblings, Jerome (Bobbie), Jeannie (Peter), Judy (Bill) and Joannie (Jess).

Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Robert A. Pumphrey Funeral Homes, Inc. - Rockville (300 W Montgomery Ave, Rockville, MD 20850). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Raphael's Catholic Church (1513 Dunster Rd, Rockville, MD 20854).
