Kyran Kennedy wrote a sympathy message

“Greg and I were classmates at Good Counsel and crossed paths at Holy Cross as coaches. Greg was a great coach and helped the young women in his program find success as both accomplised harriers and new harriers alike. Peace and blessings to his family, friends and former athletes.”

Grace Toner wrote a sympathy message

“My two older sisters had Coach Sweet as a coach, but I never did. I remember him being very kind and wonderful in so many ways. He always made me laugh and smile. He used to sneak me a chocolate or a piece of candy from the food table at track meets when I was a little kid. He always wanted the best for his runners and their families.”

Julia Pitts wrote a sympathy message

“Sending condolences from the Pitts family - it was an honor to be apart of the Cross Country community Coach Sweet built during my 4 years at Holy Cross. He always fostered a very positive, fun, and respectful environment for each and every one of his runners. He left a huge impact on anyone who had the pleasure of interacting with him and reminded us to not take life too seriously. He will be dearly missed.”
