It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bazya Shapiro in Rockville, Maryland, who passed away on January 12, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Bazya Shapiro to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ita Rakhman and Mikhel Rakhman; and her daughter Mila Lippa. She is survived by: her husband Dmitry Shapiro; her children, Lyudmila (Mila) and Dimenty (Dima); her former husband Alex Lippa; her children, Vadim, Gene, Alina, Vicky and Dima (Vicky); her son-in-law Alex (Sveta); her grandchildren, Gene (Elana), Alina (Stephen), Vadim (Yuen), Ben and Daniel; her great grandchildren, Aaron, Marisa, Mila, Kai and Cooper; and her brother Edward Rakhman of New York.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Beth Israel Cemetery (2900 Orange Ave NE, Roanoke, VA 24012).
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bazya may be made to Beth Israel Synagogue in Roanoke, Virginia or a charity of your choice.
