He was predeceased by: his parents, Audrey Coleman and Harvey Coleman; his brother James "Jimmy" Coleman; and his granddaughter Jamisen Grace. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Coleman; his children, Kouri Coleman Miller (Greg), James Coleman (Jessica) and Kelly Coleman (Stephen); his siblings, Clifford "Cliff" Coleman and Helen "Bonnie" Kendall; his grandchildren, Grant, Lauren, Meredith, Evan, Kierin and Ainsley; and his pet Cosmo.
