He is survived by: his wife Flora Lee Elbourn; his daughter Betsy Jane Crouch Lloyd (Andy); his grandchildren, Andi Beth, Ally Jane, Brian, Aryn, Shawna and Lana Lee Crouch Brand (Dave); his great grandchildren, Layla and Angel Lee; and his brother Graham F. Crouch (Susan).

“Charles was one of a kind, together you two formed the perfect "storm" in watermen terms. The memories of Charles sitting with us at Grandmom's and reaching for his last sip of tea or bite of cookie only to look down and see that you had already cleared the table. LOL!!!( you were very fast to his slowness.) And him singing loudly to his country music with the earphones on , while we sat muffling our laughter as we heard him off key singing "the snakes crawl at night" love you both, love maria”
