We are sad to announce that on February 10, 2023, at the age of 94, Sofia G. Duarte of Riverdale, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, José Françisco and Georgina Gomes; her husband José João Duarte; her daughter Lisette Marr; her son-in-law William H. Marr; and her grandson Nelson P. Marr. She was also cherished by many nephews and nieces.

Flowers or donations to the American Cancer Society in memory of Sofia Gomes Duarte and José João Duarte are welcome.
