He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Barbitta and Rose Barbitta; his wife Catherine "Betty" Griffin; and his siblings, Joseph, Tony and Tina Middledorf.
He is survived by: his children, Andrew (Debra), Nick (Janet), Brian (Lisa), Joe, Gina Hossick (Jim) and Frankie (Karen); his grandchildren, Andy (Nicolette), Tony, Monica (Kevin), Austin, Dylan, Brayden and Bailey; his great grandchildren, KJ and Alexander; and his stepgrandchildren, Amy and Halley.
