He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles H. Downes and Viola Downes. He is survived by: his brothers, Dave Walls Trucking and Allen Foods; his wife Joan Hall Downes; his brother David H. Downes; his daughter Ginger Lockhart; his son-in-law Daniel Lockhart, Sr.; his grandson Danny Lockhart, Jr.; his sister Eloise Melvin (George); and his friend Virginia Dear.
