He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elmer Smith and Doris Smith; his wife Carolyn Smith; his children, Frederick Smith II and Kathleen Bertics (Frank); his grandchildren, Teagan and Haley Smith; his siblings, Elmer Smith Jr., Linda Rubenstien and Sandy Colonell (Peter); his nieces and nephews, Petey, Timmy, Brian Francis (Beth) and Allison Rubenstien (Jake Schengher); and his great-niece Alyssa Fulco.
