He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Gerrits and Leona Gerrits (Guerts); his siblings, Gerald Gerrits, Jr., Norma (Kenneth Buechler) and Carol (Russell Titel); his brother-in-law Robert Kettenhofen; and his son-in-law Fred Fisher.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Beth Brightwell (Danny) of Ellicott City, MD, Joanne Spivey of Thurmont, MD, Christine Fisher of Brooklyn, MD, Diane Gerrits, Roger Gerrits (Robyn) and Cari Gerrits of Atlanta, GA; his grandchildren, Steven Spivey, Lexi Baumgartner (Dave), Victoria Felts (John), Patrick Gerrits and Phillip Kolb; his great grandchild Luke Felts; his sister Dolores Kettenhofen of Green Bay, WI; his sister-in-law Mary Jane Gerrits of De Pere, WI; and his former wife Joan Gerrits of Walkersville, MD. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
