He was predeceased by: his former wife Julia Lowell; his daughter Cecelia Lowell; his son-in-law Richard "Wally" Walters; his sister Marie; his siblings-in-law, Joe McDonald, Margaret Wiener and Ferdinand Wiener; and his parents, Joseph Wilbur Lowell, Sr. and Edna Lowell (Blumenthal).
He is survived by: his wife Veronica "Ronnie" Fellerath-Lowell; his daughters, Mary Julia Bailey, Anne Cairns (Bill), Katie Junghans (Ted), Margaret Syski (Leszek), Elizabeth Walters and Frances Speight (Paul); his brother James; and his sisters-in-law, Carol Lowell and Joan Wiener. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
