He is survived by: his parent Gertrude Elizabeth Horsey Battle; his children, Joseph N. Battle, III, Kimberly Parson (Kyle) and Timothy A. Battle (Kimaada); his grandchildren, Taylor Jr., Jamiya Jr., Camille Jr., Jason Jr., Mackenzie Jr. and Timothy, Jr.; and his siblings, Gloria Williams, Medessa Brown and Daisy M. Bryant.
