With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edward L Gies Jr. of Reisterstown, Maryland, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on April 22, 2023 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his parents, Edward Gies and Beatrice Gies of Solomons; his wife Angela Maria Gies; his children, Meaghan (Daniel Helmers) and Morgan Gies (Savannah Diable); his grandchildren, Jayden, Elena and Audrey; his brother Robert; and his nephew Austin of Chesapeake. He is also survived by many loving family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ed's memory may be made to Coast Guard Mutual Assistance or Goshen Scout Reservation via check mailed to National Capital Area Council, 9190 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, MD 20184 with the memo line "Goshen Scout Reservation in memory of Ed Gies".
