He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Lowell and Martha Elizabeth Hanson (Armentrout); his wife Evelyn Hanson; and his sisters, Wilma Sharrer and Thelma Hanson.

He is survived by: his stepchildren, Sharon Evans (Greg), Danny Clatterbuck (Cindy) and Nancy Sweeney; and his siblings, Emma Beaver (Jim), Deborah Hanson, Duane Hanson and Daryl Hanson (Pat). He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews.
