He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Nelson Hoffman and Alma Grace Hoffman (Moore); and his brother Douglas Nelson Hoffman. He is survived by: his wife Melinda Hoffman (Canan); his son Thomas Charles Hoffman (Cathy); his siblings, Steven R. Hoffman (Brenda) and Susie Shriver (Alan); his grandchildren, Justin, Nathan and Reagan Hoffman; and his stepgrandchildren, Jeremy Linaburg (Abby) and Kayla Linaburg.
