James Bernard Roy Jr. Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Bernard Roy Jr. of Queenstown, Maryland, who passed away on February 26, 2025, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though James Bernard may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James Bernard touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his father James Bernard Roy; and his brother William "Billy" J. Roy. He is survived by: his mother Genevieve "Jean" Veronica Roy (Meehling); his wife Lynne Francis Roy; and his pet Cocoa. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, a multitude of lifelong friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home (408 S Liberty St, Centreville, MD 21617). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Christopher's Catholic Church (1861 Harbor Dr, Chester, MD 21619).
