It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Catherine Ann Fortwengler of Queenstown, Maryland, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on August 11, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Victor Fortwengler; and her son Richard Fortwengler. She is survived by: her children, Mary Jo Smith (Ken) of Oregon City, OR, Nancy Meringolo (Tom) of Centreville, MD and David Fortwengler of Gaffney, SC; and her daughter-in-law Sheila Skipper. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
