She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland Gernert and Effie Gernert. She is survived by: her daughter Andrea; her son-in-law Michael Ambruso of Dover, Delaware; her sons, Randy Smith of Chester, Jason Thom of Frederick and Justin Thom of Easton; her siblings, Peggy Lane and James Gernert; her brother-in-law Norman Prentiss; her brother Roland Gernert; and her niece Anne Lane. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
