She was predeceased by: her parent George Lewis Cherry; and her brother Roland Cherry. She is survived by: her parent Sue Ella Smith Cherry; her husband Joseph H. Rice; her daughter Nancy R. Schmidt of Sudlersville; her grandsons, Hans W. Schmidt (Jennie) and Alan W. Schmidt (Brenda); and her great grandchildren, Jacob, Tyler, Zachary and Katrina.
