He is survived by: his wife Patricia Carter (Daniels) of Princess Anne; his sons, Robert Edward Carter of Rockville, MD, Stanley Martin Carter (Traci) of Burke, VA and Michael Stewart Carter, Sr. (Ann) of Lancaster, PA; his grandchildren, Jackson Eric Carter, Lindsey Catherine Carter and Michael Stewart Carter, Jr.; and his brother Joseph Carter of Clearwater, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
