It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Mae Cottman (Princess Anne, Maryland), who passed away on February 21, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Ballard and Catherine Stevenson; her husband Benny Lee Cottman; and her brother Irving Ballard, Sr.. She is survived by: her son Donald Armwood (Patrice) of Princess Anne, Maryland; her grandchildren, Shareena of Princess Anne, Maryland and Troy Ballard of Princess Anne, Maryland; her siblings, Bernice Collins of Princess Anne, Thelma Kersey (Ernest) of Marion, Maryland, Sherman Ballard of Princess Anne, Sherwood Ballard (Cheryl) of Salisbury and Leroy Tommy Ballard (Eula) of Delmar, Maryland; her friends, Lazette Young and Blanche Jones; and her close friend Sylvester Wallace. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
