She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Byrd Lusk, Sr. and Elsie Parks Lusk-Dunn; her sisters, Flora Murphy and Josie Mae East; and her sister-in-law Alice Lusk.
She is survived by: her children, Albert H. Merritt (Cindy), Linda Landing (Wayne) and Randall Merritt; her brother Ralph; and her brother-in-law Henry Thomas East, Sr.. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
