We are sad to announce that on October 15, 2023, at the age of 85, John Roy Alder Jr. of Princess Anne, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Roy Alder and Lula Murray Alder; his wife Linda Dykes Alder; his son Benjamin H. Alder (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Dashiell Alder and Aurelia Alder; and his siblings, Walton W. Alder (Diane), Lou Elin A. Sheller (Deke), Marie A. Martin (Fred) and Grace Foxwell Murdock (Mike). He was also cherished by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
