He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Lee "Buck" Shockley, Sr. and Peggy Shockley; and his grandson Christopher Mansfield. He is survived by: his children, Howard Lee Shockley III of Edenton, NC, Lisa Bunch (Jon) of Edenton and Elsie Perry (David) of Hertford, NC; his siblings, Joanne Duguay of Salisbury, MD, Connie Donoway (David) of Stockton, MD and David Shockley (Ann) of Salisbury; and his granddaughters, Kimberly Insley of Edenton and Tracy Merriam of Norfolk, VA..
