He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry and Hattie Francis Flurer; his wife Bettie Flurer; his siblings, Charles and Rebecca Hopkins; and his son Chris Flurer.
He is survived by: his children, Sheila Flurer Evans and Paul Curtis (Jill); his daughter-in-law Sally Flurer; his grandson Brad Flurer; his sisters-in-law, Grace Vanname and Jean Outten; and his caregiver Eva Shaw. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
