She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Ellington and Erma Horton Ellington; her daughter Cynthia King; and her siblings, Willie, Alvin, Randolph Ellington, Doris White, Myrtle Johnson, Emily Taylor and Jane Parker.
She is survived by: her husband Roy Shelton; her sons, William Collins, Jr. and Edwin Cottman; her brother Phillip Ellington, Sr. (Dorothy); and her grandchildren, Adrian King, Nehemiah King, Jr., Timothy King, William Collins III, Raquel Stanley and Traviar Collins. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
