She is survived by: her husband Nelson Brooks, Jr. of Princess Anne, MD; her children, Debbie Couture (Ken) of Fruitland, MD and Kurt Nelson Brooks of Bowie, MD; and her siblings, Junith Van Deusen of Frederick, MD and James Van Riper of Gaithersburg, MD..
