He was predeceased by: his parent Elton Powell; and his brother Orville Powell. He is survived by: his parent Etta Powell (Tull); his wife Joan Powell (Catlin); his children, Marnie Powell of Princess Anne and Elton Powell, Jr. of Princess Anne; and his granddaughter Megan.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bud's memory to Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, Md. 21802.
