It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Ellis Bowen Jr. (Prince Frederick, Maryland), who passed away on January 12, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ellis and Ruth Bowen (Asbury); and his brother Sidney "Sam" Bowen. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Bowen; his children, Lisa Collins (Bruce) of Sunderland, Steven Bowen (Wendy) of Huntingtown and Christopher Bowen (Larisa) of Evergreen, CO; his grandchildren, David, Gregory, Shelby Collins, Victoria, Hannah Bowen, Oliver and Evelyn Bowen; his great grandchildren, Liam and Emily Collins; and his siblings-in-law, Bette Bowen, Sheila Davison (Glenn), John Magrath (Jeri) and Jimmy Magrath (Rita).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jimmy's name may be made to Huntingtown United Methodist Men's Club so that they may continue to build ramps for other people in our community. (Donations can be sent to PO Box 550 Huntingtown, MD 20639). Donations may also be made to Calvert Hospice.
